Hello, I am currently building a web application that takes user input for certain portions (writing full name etc) and I am trying to figure out why the input textfields work fine on my neko build (inputted text "Full Name" would be inputted into textfield - both openfl and haxeflixel type - as "Full Name") but on my HTML5 build, it doesn't seem to be accepting the space key as input: "Full Name" input on textfield - both openfl and haxeflixel type - will ignore the space and both show and save the input as "FullName".
I have searched this forum as well as google for this issue and found nothing, although that may be due to incorrect searching on my part. If anybody can help me with this conundrum I would be very grateful. Thank you!
All I needed to do was
FlxG.keys.preventDefaultKeys = ;
To make the space key as well as arrow keys work for textboxes in the HTML build.
In other related news, we've been working on day and night to try to get a build as polished as possible to go over big platforms, such as Steam. Idea is to gather player feedback, mostly, for the multiplayer aspect. Campaign content while is being worked on, it will be behind doors.
Game is now free to play for a bit, so people can get a taste of what's coming, specially for the campaign. Mind you: is still WIP, but we working on that.
Not much else to say, because as the game grew in size, grew also team-wise. That's good, but there's always something to do, or something to manage, 24/7. That's game dev for you. I just thought I can pop out from the shadows and post some progress :D
Ok, back I go to finish this game out. Thanks for checking this out!
Peasant Knight is a puzzle-platformer. With a twist. You're relentlessly dashing into the face of danger, namely traps like suddenly erupting flame pits. You can only go forward! Or stop.
The game has a lot of twitch action, but I want most of the thrill to come from solving the levels. Each level is like a complex machine of traps where you need to find the fastest path that also keeps you in one piece.
