Installed haxe on Linux, tried to run it but it just tells me there was a Segmentation fault (core dumped). haxelib successfully installed flixel, but lime test neko also has a segfault. Any suggestions on what to do?
What's your syslog say? Which version of Linux and 32 or 64 bit?
On Linux Mint you can do
tail /var/log/syslogand it should give you a tiny bit more info.
I've also been running into this trying to get started on Mint. On another machine with Ubuntu it works fine.
I finally opened an issue about it (at the openfl level, since I also can't get its demos to run), if you're having the same thing you can add to it: https://github.com/openfl/openfl/issues/1176
@alaraen bro I had the same problem before 1-2 weeks.
The solution is at here (last post) : http://forum.haxeflixel.com/topic/112/when-i-run-haxe-on-linux-segmentation-fault-core-dumped/6
@eminfedar Might be, but for me, that was already how I installed it (not via a distro package.)
Hey, thanks for the help!
I had tried to install it from http://www.openfl.org/download/ before, but it didn't work for some reason. It's been a while, and I already completely forgot where the error happened and what it was. It has worked now though, so it's all good I guess :D
